- Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:30pm & Friday 8am – 11am (30 mins lunch plus 2 x 15 min breaks)

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit an Electrician to work within the Port in the Tyne & Wear area on a permanent basis. Ideally, the electrician will come from a commercial background and hold responsibility for the upkeep of the Port. You will hold responsibility for fixing various equipment as a Port Electrician.
THE ROLE
- Working as an electrician undertaking the day to day upkeep of the Port
- Delivering facilities maintenance to the Port
- Performing inspections and rectifying faults
- Working from 24V up to 3 phase 440V
- Fixing and installing electronic gate systems, street lights, hi-mast lights, electric roller doors, firefighting and alarm systems
- Installing sockets and placing power into sheds
- Working at heights
- Completing paperwork and recording maintenance tasks
- Managing any subcontractors who come to site
THE PERSON
- Time served electrician
- Ideally from a commercial background, if not industrial
- 18th Edition for Wiring Regulations
- Inspection and Testing Certificate
- Basic Mechanical Skill-set
- IT Skills – ability to send emails and source parts
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to manage outside contractors
- Good communicator
THE PACKAGE
This is a permanent role and pays an annual salary of between £37,280 - £40,777 depending on experience.
