WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU

  • Hours: 8am to 4:30pm (Working 6am to 6pm between Spring and Summer)
  • £13 per hour with a potential increase to £14.50 per hour - after additional training
  • Temp to Perm opportunity

THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit multiple Operatives for our client based in Silloth. The business is a UK-based national manufacturer and distributor of fertiliser products, operating across a network of multiple strategically located production sites throughout England, Scotland and Wales. It delivers a broad portfolio of soil and crop nutrition solutions, ranging from standard fertiliser grades to enhanced-efficiency and prescription blends designed to improve nutrient use efficiency, soil health and crop performance. The organisation places strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability and science-led product development, supporting farmers with tailored solutions that balance productivity with environmental responsibility. THE ROLE

  • Packing goods in a fast-paced production environment
  • Physical activity including lifting up to 20kg
  • Handling stock
  • Operating machinery
  • Sealing the products
  • Quality checking items ensuring there are no defects
  • Completing paperwork
  • Once trained operate a counterbalance truck

THE PERSON

  • You will be physically fit, have the ability to lift and handle stock
  • Experience packing in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous however this isn’t mandatory as training will be provided
  • Flexible to undertake additional duties to support business demands
  • Previous experience operating a counterbalance truck would be advantageous however this isn’t mandatory as training will be provided
