THE BUSINESS

The company is a forward-thinking business offering long-term job stability within a busy manufacturing and fabrication environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team, supporting the preparation and fabrication of sheet metal materials to high standards of accuracy, quality, and safety.

THE ROLE

You will be working as a Sheet Metal Operative, supporting production and fabrication activity. Some of your tasks will include:

  • Operating guillotine and brake press machinery
  • Operating saws, threaders, power tools, grinders, and hand tools
  • Marking out and preparing sheet steel for fabrication
  • Preparing jobs and materials ready for fabricators
  • Working with mild steel ranging from 3mm to 5mm thickness
  • Carrying out measuring, marking out, and drilling activities
  • Working accurately to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Maintaining quality standards and safe working practices
