THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Multiskilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Sunderland who is a global company specialising in piping systems for various industries. They operate globally with multiple branches; providing a full range of products and services to various industries. They have a focus on reliability and environmental friendliness. The organisation has a solid order book and can provide role stability as they have a long serving history with their clients. As a result of increase in work and a busy order book they are seeking a multiskilled mechanical fitter to join their team.
THE ROLE
- You will overhaul and repair Graco/Mastic/Sealant Pumps
- You will assemble and install mechanical components
- You will clean, and rebuild pumps and assess any other repairs required
- You will manufacture hoses, although training will be provided
- You will use a variety of hand and power tools to strip and reassemble various pump and hoses
- Fabrication and Welding skills would be advantageous
- You will check the complete assembly for alignment, dimensions and quality
- You will assist with production and build of fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity
- You will observe company H&S policy and comply with the company’s safety rules
THE PERSON
- You will be time-served and have an engineering background/qualifications
- You will have your own hand tools; and power tools are available on site
- You need to be available to work overtime and weekends – this is a must for the role
- You need a full UK driving licence for this role
- You will have good communication skills
- You must have a good understanding of engineering drawings and standards
- You will be comfortable working outside in all elements of weather
