- 37 hours per week
- 2 shift rotation
- Day Shift - Mon to Thu 06:00-14:00 Fri 06:00-13:30
- Back Shift - Mon to Thu 13:45-23:45 Fri 13:45-22:45
- (During probation - Mon to Thu 07:30-16:00 Fri 07:00-12:30)

THE ROLE
- Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings using a range of machining methods, with a strong focus on horizontal boring
- Operate and set machinery to produce high-quality parts for both in-house assemblies and global customer supply
- Work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and consistency
- Ensure all work meets required quality standards and aligns with company procedures and British Standards
- Interpret and work confidently with both metric and imperial measurements
- Contribute to a flexible workshop environment handling a wide variety of components and materials
- Collaborate closely with a small, skilled team to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency
- Support continuous improvement and take part in team-based or cross-functional activities
THE PERSON
- Time-served machinist with solid, hands-on experience in a machine shop environment
- Proven experience working with a variety of materials
- Strong background in horizontal boring; experience with Fagor controls is advantageous
- CNC machining knowledge or experience would be beneficial
- Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings accurately
- Committed to producing work to a high standard with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to manage workload effectively to meet deadlines
- Team-oriented with a proactive and flexible approach to work
