Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Instrumentation Pipe Fitter to join our client in Sunderland who is a global company specialising in piping systems for various industries. They operate globally with multiple branches; providing a full range of products and services to various industries. They have a focus on reliability and environmental friendliness. The organisation has a solid order book and can provide role stability as they have a long serving history with their clients
As a result of increase in work and a busy order book they are seeking a Instrumentation Pipe Fitter to join their team
THE ROLE
- You will report directly to the Piping Supervisor within the Local Piping Management Team
- You will be able to work alone or as part of a team either in the workshop or onsite being able to carry out installation of connections and pipework
- Your work will include being able to mark off and install brackets, being able to measure site run pipework and bend it accordingly with use of suitable bending equipment
- You will be provided training on all company products, systems and equipment
- You will carry out mechanical assemblies and installations.
- You will be able to maintain the business’ fleet of equipment and service it
- You must be available to work overtime & weekends when required.
- You have the ability to manage time, work efficiently under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
- You will carry out pipefitting and small-bore tubing and have the ability to manufacture simple and complex geometry piping
- You can read and understand P&ID’s, schematics and develop own drawings/sketches for site estimating
- You can communicate well with all customer types and levels, from workshop to corporate
- You need good working knowledge of standard office software such as Microsoft Excel and Word
- Having knowledge of hydraulic systems would be advantageous
- A full UK driving licence is required for this role
- A Forklift truck licence would be advantageous
- You will have a professional attitude
- Having worked at hydraluic companies carrying out pipefitting would advantageous
- SBT (small bore tubing) certifications are advantageous
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You will be reliable, punctual and trustworthy
- You will have a good understanding of H&S requirements through industry
- You are comfortable working outside in all elements of weather when required
- You must have excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
- You will have a positive attitude to learn, develop and progress within a large global organisation
- Additional Certificates Preferred include Offshore BOSIET & Medical and SBT Experience
