WHAT IS IN IT FOR YOU?

- £12.86 per hour equates to £25,411 per annum starting wage based on 38-hour week
- Opportunity to progress through pay levels to achieve salary of £27,130.48
- Alternating 2 shift system days and backs (6:30am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-10:30pm)
- Workers are advised to be on the shop floor 10 minutes prior to shift start (this is paid)
- Overtime during the week is time & ¼
- Time & ½ Saturday and Double time Sunday

THE BUSINESS
Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit Production Operators to work within a fast paced, high volume production setting in the Houghton le Spring area. Our client operates a target driven environment and you will form part of a close knit team working to unload various machines. This is a physical role working on the section requiring lifting and being stood on your feet. The client is heavily ambitious, they are growing rapidly and they have an excellent order book. This role is permanent from day one and comes with not only stability, but also the opportunity for progression. This role offers excellent job security.
THE ROLE
- Working to load and unload machinery
- Quality checking parts via visual inspections
- Using air guns to complete very basic assembly tasks
- Loading parts onto jigs and undertaking basic machine checks
- Working towards targets based on output and quality
THE PERSON
- Able to work on feet for 8 hours a day and physically fit to undertake machine loading and unloading duties
- Target orientated
- Ability to use basic air powered tools preferred, although training can be given
- Able to follow SOPs and work instruction
- Punctual and reliable
- Due to the unsuitable nature of shifts it could also be beneficial for candidates to have their own transport
