The business

Our client is an established joinery and kitchen installation business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality workmanship across a range of projects. Due to continued work and demand, they are looking to appoint multiple experienced Joiners to join their team and work across various sites throughout the local area.

The Role

As a Joiner, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of general joinery duties across construction sites. Your daily duties will include:

  • Carrying out general joinery work across construction sites.
  • Installing floor and roof joists.
  • Completing first-fix joinery, including framing, studwork and structural timber work.
  • Carrying out second-fix joinery as required.
  • Installing doors, frames, skirting, architraves and other joinery components.
  • Reading and working from drawings and specifications.
  • Measuring, cutting and fitting timber and other materials accurately.
  • Working alongside other trades to ensure projects are completed safely and on schedule.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
  • Following all site health and safety procedures and company requirements.

The role will involve travelling between sites in Hartlepool, Guisborough and Whitby, so flexibility and reliable transport are essential.

The Person

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • A valid CSCS card.
  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Joinery.
  • Previous experience working as a Joiner within a construction/site environment.
  • Strong first-fix and general joinery experience.
  • Experience with joists, studwork, framing and second-fix joinery.
  • Your own professional joinery tools.
  • Your own reliable transport.
  • The ability to work across multiple sites.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
  • A reliable, professional and hardworking approach.
  • The ability to work effectively alongside other trades and site teams.
