About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Van Driver to support with local furniture deliveries. This is a fantastic temporary to permanent opportunity for reliable, professional, and hardworking individuals who take pride in delivering excellent customer service. The role will mainly involve local deliveries to customers’ homes, with the occasional opportunity to drive to Scotland. This is not essential, but flexibility would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely driving a delivery van to complete local customer deliveries.
  • Delivering furniture directly to customers’ homes.
  • Carrying out heavy lifting and manual handling of furniture items.
  • Providing a professional and friendly service when representing the client.
  • Ensuring goods are handled with care and delivered in excellent condition.
  • Working as part of a team to complete deliveries efficiently.
  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Previous van driving experience is preferred.
  • In date driving license.
  • Must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.
  • A professional and customer-focused attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
  • Able to represent Barker and Stonehouse to a high standard.
  • Flexibility for occasional longer-distance deliveries would be advantageous.
