Reporting to the Technical Product Specialist Supervisor, the Technical Product Specialist will join our Technology Department on a full-time basis at our Anderson Place Branch in the Perth Precinct.
To succeed in this role, candidates should have extensive knowledge of both onboard and office components of MineStar Command for Hauling, Fleet, and Terrain products, as well as Asset Health review and reporting. While prior MineStar system experience is preferred, we welcome applications from candidates with relevant skills and industry knowledge, even if they lack direct MineStar experience. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training and upskilling opportunities. Candidates experienced in designing and maintaining IT networks, databases, software development, or similar OEM fleet and mine management systems are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide specialist support and services to customers on Caterpillar technology products such as MineStar Office.
- Troubleshoot integrated systems, including machine sensors, onboard control units, displays, network diagnosis, application servers, and databases.
- Develop and support the WesTrac Autonomous Training Facility located in Collie.
- Consult with stakeholders to identify and scope technical requirements for MineStar products to ensure successful upgrades and deployments.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a similar role and environment.
- Advanced knowledge of MineStar products, including onboard and office environments.
- Advanced knowledge of IT networks, databases, active directories, and software development.
- Understanding of asset health and onboard asset information via MineStar.
- Knowledge of VM environments and virtualization.
- Excellent communication skills across written, verbal, and interpersonal channels.
- Strong problem-solving skills with support environment experience preferred.
