As a Drill Fitter, you will work with a highly supportive team and report directly to the Drills Supervisor.

The Drill Service business unit offers product-specific career pathways, from building basic product knowledge to becoming a Product Support Advisor or a Field Service Specialist for Blast Hole Drills and Hydraulic Mining Shovels.

Location: FIFO

Roster Options: 8 days on, 6 off OR 14 days on, 7 days off OR 14 days on, 14 days off. 12.5 hours (including 30-minute meal break) – DAY SHIFTS ONLY

What you\’ll do:

• Proactively assist with drill preventative maintenance schedules, collaborating with maintenance teams to plan work scopes and troubleshoot issues.
• Maximise operation and product reliability of the fleet of Caterpillar blast hole drills.
• Develop technical reports and implement product instruction/training strategies to enhance drill product knowledge across the team.
• Increase the performance, reliability, and availability of designated drills.

Skills & Experience:

• Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic Trade certificate.
• Previous field service or mine site experience.
• Technical aptitude and experience with surface blast hole drill rigs.
• Willingness to travel to various mine sites.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills to build and maintain successful relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to safe work practices.
• OEM or dealership experience is advantageous.
