The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Reporting to the Area Manager – CRC Power Train, the Workshop Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight, leadership, support, and mentoring of the Final Drive Workshop, ensuring a high level of safety focus through actions that support a zero-harm culture. This role will be offered on a Full-Time basis.

Roster: Monday - Friday roster working 10hr shifts and 1 Saturday per quarter

Location: Guildford, WA

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and supervise a diverse team, including Trade Assistants, Technicians, Plant Mechanics, and Apprentices.
  • Oversee daily workshop operations, including execution of component builds within the CRC to CAT specifications.
  • Take ownership of assembly processes for Final Drives & Differential products, ensuring timely execution, quality, and accurate job closure.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans.
  • Coach and develop staff through hands-on training and upskilling opportunities.
  • Maintain compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and other workshop supervisors to optimise processes and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive cost control, efficiency improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that promotes collaboration and growth.
  • Monitor safety performance and champion positive safety behaviours across the team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a Leadership position (Desirable)
  • Caterpillar Systems, Parts and Product knowledge (Desirable)
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Have the demonstrated ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team & collaborate well with others.
  • Technical trade qualification: Not mandatory, but advantageous
  • Business acumen: Awareness of cost control and efficiency drivers is highly valued
  • Coachability: A willingness to learn and grow — we’ll support you to build deeper commercial and operational knowledge
  • Skilled in developing and implementing standardised processes to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
