Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this opportunity is a critical role shaping how work gets done across our workshop operations. You will translate hands‑on workshop knowledge into clear, consistent, safety driven standard work documentation that enables our teams to perform at their best—every shift, every build. Roster – Monday to Friday 8.5 hour day including meal break

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop, review and maintain standard work documentation for workshop processes
  • Partner with supervisors, trades and engineers to capture best practice
  • Write clear, compliant build, strip‑down and assembly instructions
  • Capture operational data to improve efficiency and component quality
  • Ensure all documentation meets WesTrac safety, quality and style standards
  • Deliver procedures on time in a fast‑paced workshop environment
  • Support continuous improvement and standardisation initiatives
  • Align documentation with Caterpillar, WesTrac and workshop requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • Mechanical aptitude or trade background (workshop or machinery exposure ideal)
  • Proven ability to document technical processes clearly and accurately
  • Strong written and verbal communication across all levels
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience in admin, coordination or customer‑facing technical roles
  • Knowledge of parts, components or workshop operations
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem‑solving ability
  • Exposure to Caterpillar SIS or Cat® components (advantage, not essential)
