Reporting into the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic will be based out of our Guildford Branch on a Full Time Basis.

The New Mining Machines Department at Wes Trac specializes in providing cutting-edge machinery solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the mining industry.
Our team is dedicated to delivering innovative, reliable, and efficient Caterpillar equipment to enhance operational productivity and safety.
Roster
Monday to Friday. 10.5 hours (including a 30min upaid meal break)
What You’ll Do
- Assemble and test the latest Caterpillar gear to meet top-tier performance and quality standards.
- Carry out dealer-specified custom installations.
- Collaborate with a high-performing team to manage and complete builds efficiently.
Skills & Experience
- A recognised Australian Trade Certificate in Plant Mechanic or Heavy Commercial Vehicle.
- Hands-on experience with mining, construction, agriculture, hire equipment, or highway trucks—your background in industrial machinery is highly valued.
- Previous exposure to CAT equipment is a strong advantage.
- Ability to diagnose and solve complex mechanical issues.
- Flexibility to work across a variety of machinery and embrace new technologies and methods.
