As a Senior Banking Adviser, youâre the goâto expert in branch â the person customers trust with their biggest financial decisions and the one who can turn a homeâloan conversation into a moment of genuine excitement and confidence. Youâll own the lending journey endâtoâend, guiding customers through everything from their first home to their next big investment, all while dazzling them with advice thatâs clear, and tailored to their world. Youâll uncover needs they havenât yet voiced, champion digital tools that make banking easier, and ensure every customer walks away feeling supported, empowered, and ready for whatâs next.
This is a role for someone who loves people, loves community, and isnât afraid to paint your town RED. Youâll be out building relationships with local businesses, schools, and community groups, spotting opportunities to grow Westpacâs presence and helping customers build financial confidence along the way. NÄ tÄu rourou â What youâll bring?
- 3+ yearsâ experience in banking and/or lending
- Level 5 Residential Lending Qualification (or working toward it)
- Strong knowledge of lending, banking products, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problemâsolving skills
- Digital confidence, with the ability to coach customers and colleagues
- Experience building relationships, influencing outcomes, and supporting or mentoring others
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ethical, customerâcentric decisionâmaking
- Mandarin proficiency is preferred to support communication with client base
