Are you an experienced, hands-on chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment? A vibrant, busy Portuguese restaurant in the City is looking for a Temp Head Chef to step into our open kitchen immediately.
This is a pure cooking and service management role
The Role & Atmosphere The Concept: High-quality Portuguese sharing plates and counter service.
The Kitchen: Vibrant open kitchen environment. You will be right in the action.
The Volume: A busy 60-cover restaurant serving fast-paced lunch and dinner services.
The Brigade: Leading and motivating an established, hardworking team of 5.
Your Responsibilities Managing Service: Leading from the front to ensure seamless, high-energy service.
Team Leadership: Running the line and managing a 5-chef brigade.
Kitchen Standards: Ensuring complete compliance with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
Focus on Food: Keeping the kitchen organised, clean, and efficient so the food shines.
What's in it for you? Pay: Up to £23 per hour (depending on experience).
Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.

Who we are looking for An active, energetic Head Chef or strong Sous Chef with experience in high-volume, open kitchens. Knowledge of Portuguese cuisine is a massive plus, but a passion for great sharing plates and strong leadership skills are essential.
