An exciting opportunity has arisen within a growing independent practice in Peterborough who are seeking an experienced Semi-Senior, Senior or Assistant Manager to join them.

The Role

A firm with a specialist focus, and excellent experience in their field, they are seeking an experienced and ACA/ACCA qualified practice accountant to support them with their portfolio and wider firm growth plans. You will perhaps be an experienced and recently qualified Semi-Senior looking to step up and continue your development journey, or perhaps you are a Senior/Assistant Manager, qualified and looking to take on additional responsibility and have a bigger impact within a specialist firm. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end accounts for a variety of sole traders, ltd companies and partnerships
  • Draft statutory financial statements
  • Build and maintain client relationships operating also in an advisory capacity to a portfolio of owner managed businesses
  • Provide tax support and advice across VAT, corporation tax and self assessment
  • Support with management accounts

What We're Looking For

  • It is ESSENTIAL that full ACA or ACCA qualification is held
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience within practice
  • Experience managing multiple client files and liaising directly with clients
  • Ideally strong tax knowledge
  • Confidence working with varied workloads and requirements
  • Confidence working independently
  • Previous experience with accounting systems such as: Xero, Quickbooks, CCH
