Semi‑Senior / Senior/ Manager - Specialist independent Accountancy practice, Peterborough
£35,000-£50,000 | flexible & hybrid working offered
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a growing independent practice in Peterborough who are seeking an experienced Semi-Senior, Senior or Assistant Manager to join them.
The Role
A firm with a specialist focus, and excellent experience in their field, they are seeking an experienced and ACA/ACCA qualified practice accountant to support them with their portfolio and wider firm growth plans. You will perhaps be an experienced and recently qualified Semi-Senior looking to step up and continue your development journey, or perhaps you are a Senior/Assistant Manager, qualified and looking to take on additional responsibility and have a bigger impact within a specialist firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts for a variety of sole traders, ltd companies and partnerships
- Draft statutory financial statements
- Build and maintain client relationships operating also in an advisory capacity to a portfolio of owner managed businesses
- Provide tax support and advice across VAT, corporation tax and self assessment
- Support with management accounts
- It is ESSENTIAL that full ACA or ACCA qualification is held
- Minimum 3+ years' experience within practice
- Experience managing multiple client files and liaising directly with clients
- Ideally strong tax knowledge
- Confidence working with varied workloads and requirements
- Confidence working independently
- Previous experience with accounting systems such as: Xero, Quickbooks, CCH
- £35,000-£50,000, depending on experience
- Hybrid working, 1-2 days in Peterborough office
