Private Client Tax Senior

WestonBrook Associates are delighted to be partnering with a respected and growing mid-sized accountancy practice based in the heart of the City of London to recruit an experienced Private Client Tax Senior for their highly successful private client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tax professional to join a supportive and progressive firm, working with an impressive portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, business owners, and family wealth clients.
The role
As a key member of the private client tax team, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality personal tax compliance and advisory services. You will work closely with experienced Managers and Partners, gaining exposure to complex tax matters and contributing to the ongoing development of client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of private clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, entrepreneurs, and family groups
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory deadlines
- Assisting clients with a variety of personal taxation matters and responding to day-to-day queries
- Supporting advisory work relating to Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trusts, and wealth planning
- Providing assistance on residency, domicile, and cross-border tax issues
- Liaising directly with HMRC regarding client matters and enquiries
- Identifying tax-saving opportunities and highlighting planning considerations where appropriate
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through excellent service delivery
- Working alongside senior team members on complex advisory assignments and bespoke planning projects
- Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and regulatory developments affecting clients.
- ATT qualified, part-qualified CTA, or qualified by experience
- At least 3 years' experience within Private Client Tax gained in an accountancy practice environment
- Strong knowledge of UK personal taxation and compliance requirements
- Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, directors, and entrepreneurial clients
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- A proactive and client-focused approach

- Salary of £50,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
