An established and highly regarded independent accountancy firm ideally located between Chelmsford and Colchester is looking to expand its team with the addition of a Semi-Senior Accountant.
The Role
This role is ideal for an individual seeking a step up from trainee, or perhaps someone who is working as a Semi-Senior currently and is looking for wider exposure, to accounts as well as audit responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing year-end accounts for a mix of limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Completing corporation tax computations and submissions
- Preparing, reviewing, and filing VAT returns
- Preparing personal tax returns
- Managing client relationships and responding to queries
- Assisting with audit assignments
- Working closely with senior accountants
What We’re Looking For
- A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines confidently
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS
