Accounts Senior (or Semi Senior)

£28,000 - £38,000 DOE
Join a reputable and growing Accountancy Practice! Working closely with managers and partners, you will be responsible for supporting a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, helping to deliver a first-class service. You'll be joining a collaborative team that values its staff, encourages professional development, and works hard to develop long standing relationships with its client base. With a strong reputation for delivering a high-quality, personalised service, this role offers excellent client exposure and the chance to make a real impact across the full set of accounting and tax responsibilities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting a varied portfolio of sole traders, Ltd. companies and larger corporate businesses across multiple industries
- Building strong relationships with clients and maintaining regular contact
- Managing bookkeeping activities using cloud-based accounting systems
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Preparing statutory accounts and associated working papers
- Calculating corporation tax liabilities and preparing related submissions (CT600)
- Completion / review of personal tax returns (SA100)
- Assisting with the development and mentoring of junior team members
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice environment
- A solid background working across both statutory accounts preparation and tax duties
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software packages
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified, studying towards qualification, or qualified through practical experience
