Are you an experienced mixed audit and accounts professional looking to progress your career within a highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants? This established and well-regarded practice is seeking to appoint a skilled audit and accounts individual in the capacity of semi-senior or senior to complement their expanding team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality audit and accounts services.
About the RoleYou will be working closely with directors while leading audit assignments and overseeing accounts preparation work. Depending on level you will also supervise, mentor and review the work of junior colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality client service.
Your Responsibilities- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and liaising directly with directors
- Coaching, supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Designing risk-based audit approaches and developing tailored audit tests
- Completing audit fieldwork and ensuring objectives are met
- Managing job budgets and monitoring progress against timelines
- Finalising audit files for director review
- Preparing statutory accounts and drafting corporation tax computations
- Either studying towards a formal qualification (ACA/ACCA) or qualified
- Experienced in recent UK audit work within a practice environment
- Competent in UK GAAP and FRS102-1a reporting
- A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- A team player who is confident leading and supporting junior staff if applicable
- Competitive salary: £30,000-48,000 DOE
