Job Description VAT Director /n Central London | Hybrid Working /n £90,000 - £120,000 + Bonus + Excellent Benefits Package /n WestonBrook Associates are delighted to be partnering with a prominent accountancy and advisory firm in Central London to recruit a newly created VAT Director position. /n Reporting directly to a Tax Partner, this is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced VAT specialist to take a leading role within a progressive and commercially focused firm. The successful individual will be responsible for driving the continued growth of the VAT service offering, providing high-level technical advice to a diverse client base and working closely with the wider leadership team on strategic tax matters. /n This role offers significant autonomy, visibility and the opportunity to influence the future direction of an established and expanding practice. /n The Role /n As VAT Director, you will serve as the firm's principal VAT specialist, delivering both advisory and compliance expertise whilst supporting clients across a broad range of sectors. /n Key responsibilities will include: /n /n - Leading and developing the firm's VAT advisory and compliance offering. /n - Acting as the primary point of contact for complex VAT matters across the practice. /n - Advising clients on a wide range of indirect tax issues, including property transactions, land and development projects, and VAT planning opportunities. /n - Providing guidance on international VAT matters, cross-border transactions and overseas compliance obligations. /n - Supporting corporate transactions, restructurings, acquisitions and disposals from a VAT perspective. /n - Reviewing and enhancing VAT compliance procedures, risk management processes and internal controls. /n - Working collaboratively with Partners and Directors across the firm to deliver integrated tax solutions. /n - Identifying opportunities to provide additional value-added advisory services to existing and prospective clients. /n - Delivering technical training and support to colleagues across the wider tax and accounting teams. /n - Building and maintaining strong client relationships whilst contributing to business development and networking initiatives. /n - Mentoring and developing members of the tax team. /n /n Person Requirements /n /n - CTA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification. /n - Significant VAT experience gained within a UK-based professional services, accountancy practice or specialist advisory environment. /n - Strong technical knowledge across indirect taxes with expertise in VAT advisory work. /n - Experience advising owner-managed businesses, SMEs and corporate clients. /n - Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills. /n - A commercial and proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities for business growth. /n - Strong leadership, mentoring and people development capabilities. /n - The confidence to engage with senior decision-makers and provide clear, practical advice. /n /n The Opportunity /n This newly created role offers the chance to join a successful and ambitious firm at an exciting stage of its growth.
