Are you an experienced Senior accounting professional looking to progress your career in a well sized and established accountancy practice? This highly successful and award winning Chelmsford based firm are now seeking a suitably qualified (ACA or ACCA) individual to take up a position that offers an excellent blend of accounts preparation, client engagement, and audit & advisory work whilst being able to develop and progress within a high-quality practice environment.
The Role
- You'll manage your own client portfolio while working closely with a diverse mix of SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and local organisations across multiple sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and prepare year-end statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102-1A as well as computations for corporation tax returns.
- Gain oversight of the production and delivery of monthly and quarterly management reporting.
- Reviewing quarterly VAT returns in readiness for submission to the HMRC.
- Participate in the firm's provision of audit services for in scope clients as well as tax planning as required.
- Providing on-going support and advice to clients.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and auditing standards.
- Contributing to a collaborative, supportive team culture.
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3+ years' practice experience working for a UK firm in the capacity of Senior Accountant or Semi-Senior looking to step up.
- Confident in the provision of full year-end accounts and ideally audit related obligations.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organised, detail-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
