The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and completing year‑end statutory accounts
- Completion/review of personal and corporate tax computations (SA100 & CT600)
- Client management accounting support
- Review and submission of VAT returns
- Client bookkeeping and review of bookkeeping responsibilities
- Liaising directly with clients and handling queries professionally – building relationships for the future
What We're Looking For
- Ideally fully ACCA/ACA qualified or late‑stage student; however, QBE applications considered for appropriate experience.
- 4+ years' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience managing and liaising with multiple clients across sectors.
- Supervisory/Team Leader experience beneficial for review and oversight of juniors.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills – natural diligence and organised approach.
- Confidence working with varied workloads and requirements – deadline‑oriented and calm under pressure.
- Technical awareness and a keenness to build on technical understanding.
- Previous experience with accounting systems, especially Xero, QuickBooks, and FreeAgent.
