About the Role
This is an ideal opportunity for an outgoing and enthusiastic Lacrosse Coach to work across both our Boarding and PE Departments. This role will include supporting the PE Department in line with the school’s timetable, delivering Lacrosse Coaching as part of the PE Curriculum. The Residential Graduate Lacrosse Coach will have a keen interest in pursuing a career in a pastoral role with a dedicated residential team, helping maintain a stress‑free, secure and happy community for the students, whilst promoting and developing a positive school ethos within our boarding houses.
Role Details
This role commences in September 2026 until the end of the Academic year in August 2027. There are also further opportunities to work during holiday periods.
Sports Department
The major sports at Westonbirt School include Lacrosse, Netball, Rugby, Hockey and Cricket. Football is an emerging and popular addition to the programme, while Golf, Tennis, Swimming, Athletics, Basketball, Equestrianism and Polo also play an important part in the overall offering. The school benefits from excellent sports facilities which include acres of playing fields, an indoor Sports Centre, a full‑size Astroturf pitch, a 25m swimming pool, a 9‑hole golf course and remarkably picturesque cricket squares.
Hours, Salary and Benefits
Westonbirt School is a seven‑day per week boarding school, so the successful candidate must be prepared to take a full part in the school community during the 34 weeks of the school term, requiring full weekly, evening and weekend commitments. Each Residential Graduate Assistant will work in line with the boarding rota and will be scheduled for 24 hours off each week. While on duty, the Residential Graduate Lacrosse Coach must be immediately accessible, whether in House or elsewhere in the school. An attractive salary and free board and lodging are provided during term time. During school holidays accommodation is not always available.
