Minibus Driver – Tetbury, Gloucestershire
Westonbirt School is looking for a Minibus Driver to manage morning and afternoon school runs, with weekend availability when required.
This permanent role offers a competitive hourly rate of £14.39 for fully qualified D/D1 drivers, with potential overtime at the same rate.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the school minibus for the daily morning (6:30am to 9:00am) and evening (5:00pm to 7:00pm) routes.
- Maintain a positive and comfortable atmosphere while interacting confidently with children.
- Demonstrate a warm, flexible approach, take initiative, and work independently or as part of a team.
- Provide ad‑hoc driving support for airport runs, sports fixtures, additional school trips and bus maintenance duties.
- Conduct dedicated driving for Summer School – 20hours per week during the 4 weeks of the summer term.
Qualifications
- Standard driving/car licence required.
- D/D1 licence preferred; candidates without it may be offered training to obtain the qualification.
- Hours & Salary
Annualised hours of work will be 1187.5 hours per annum, including the main school runs, ad‑hoc driving and Summer School duties.
Salary is £14.39 per hour for fully qualified D/D1 drivers, with overtime available at the same rate.
