We are looking for an inspiring, engaging and talented teacher who has the relevant skills and experience to take on the role of Teacher of Mathematics. The candidate should have the skills and ability to teach up to GCSE; the ability to teach up to A level and Further Mathematics would be advantageous.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to providing exceptional learning experiences for their students within and beyond the classroom, and keen to contribute to wider aspects of School life.
The mathematics department at Westonbirt is a highly ambitious, motivated and enthusiastic team with staff continually striving to become better practitioners. Staff are knowledgeable, reflective and supportive, with department time used to deepen understanding of pedagogy and explore how better outcomes can be obtained within the classroom. The department is well organised with bespoke schemes of work supported with textbook and online resources. Lessons are well structured, purposeful, challenging and appropriately paced to ensure pupils experience success regularly, but are also stretched to allow them to develop into strong mathematicians and critical thinkers. We show mathematics can be enjoyable at every level, celebrating success across the school and seek out as well as create opportunities to engage pupils regularly both in and out of lessons.
Full time, fixed term position for two terms, starting in September 2026. An attractive salary & benefits package will be provided.
