Weston-super-Mare Town Council is looking to recruit two Community Rangers to join our Grounds Team during one of the busiest and most rewarding times of the year. This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors and want to make a visible difference within the local community. As part of a dedicated team, you will help care for the town's parks, green spaces, play areas and community assets, supporting environmental improvements and community initiatives across Weston-super-Mare. No two days are the same, and we welcome applicants with transferable skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

About the Role

The Community Ranger role is a varied, hands-on position supporting the maintenance and upkeep of Weston-super-Mare Town Council's public spaces and facilities. Duties include grounds maintenance, environmental cleansing, inspections, repairs and assisting with community and civic events.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Grounds and green space maintenance
  • Litter picking and cleansing duties
  • Play area inspections, minor repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Supporting the Town's floral initiatives
  • Assisting with civic and community events
  • Working alongside local partners and residents
