Weston & Sampson is hiring an Engineer with our Wastewater Discipline with 0 to 4 years of experience in our Reading, MA office location. The candidate will have experience in evaluation, design, and construction of municipal wastewater collection and treatment systems.
What You’ll Do

  • Assist project managers with the preparation of engineering studies, design plans and specifications.
  • Visit job sites to perform project tasks including, field tests, data gathering, field inspections, surveying and construction observation.
  • Office work may include engineering design, data review and tabulation, data management and analysis, and preparation of technical reports.
  • Expected to work on a variety of civil engineering projects at any given time as workload requires but an emphasis will be placed primarily on wastewater system planning, wastewater treatment and industrial wastewater pre-treatment systems and related projects.
  • Willing to travel as required

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering with wastewater process and treatment emphasis
  • Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting and design skills
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft excel for data analysis
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in hydraulics
  • Industrial wastewater treatment or operations experience is a plus
  • EIT Certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • A positive attitude and willingness to continue learning as new tasks are assigned and new projects are undertake
  • Valid driver’s license required
