Summary We are seeking a skilled recovery technician to join our team at Weston Recovery Services.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for recovering vehicles on behalf of police and highways ensuring a rapid response and ensuring incidents are cleared as quickly as possible.
When no police or highways recoveries are required, you will assist with local recovery work.
Due to the on-call nature of this role, you will not be required to use a drivers tachograph card and will work inside of our 100km tachograph exemption.
Responsibilities Assist in the recovery of vehicles from various locations as directed.
Perform routine maintenance checks on recovery vehicles to ensure safety and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding recovery operations.
Drive flatbed and other recovery vehicles as needed for transport.
Maintain accurate records of recovered vehicles and related documentation.
Support yard operations when necessary, including loading and unloading vehicles.
Requirements Proven experience in commercial driving or vehicle recovery preferred, but training is provided.
Strong mechanical knowledge to assist with vehicle assessments.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Valid driving license with appropriate endorsements for commercial driving.
Category CE (Class 1) driving licence required, and a valid driver CPC.
Ability to work flexible hours as required by operational needs, including an "On Call" rota.
Clean criminal record so that you will pass Police Vetting Checks.

We are flexible and can look at a working rota with you to incorporate your needs, but there is an on call element to the rota that we need to cover over night and on weekends.
The primary basis of this on call work will be to cover our Police and Highways contracts removing vehicles from incident location back to base.
