As a Complementary Therapist, you will provide supportive therapies to patients with life-limiting illnesses. Volunteer role Complementary Therapist Volunteer manager Complementary Therapies Manager Where you will be based Other Why we want you To volunteer individually and as part of the complementary therapy team. To practice the agreed therapy in accordance with the policies of Weston Hospicecare. What you will be doing Providing complementary therapy to clients with a life-limited illness suitable for individual needs Supporting the clinical staff in providing a high standard of holistic care Ensuring clinical staff and/or complementary therapy manager is aware of any client concerns Liaising with key workers and complementary therapy manager Working in accordance with relevant governing and professional bodies Assessing clients for treatment and completing relevant records Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times regarding patients, their relatives, and staff Maintaining order and tidiness within the Hospice The skills you need Highly organised and professional Excellent interpersonal and listening skills Team player Able to use own initiative Reliable A warm, friendly, adaptable, caring approach Open-minded and tolerant of different lifestyles and values What\'s in it for you Getting involved in your local community Putting existing skills to good use Gaining confidence and friendship Developing new skills Opportunity to work as a part of a great team Personal satisfaction knowing you have made a difference in someone\'s life Disclaimer For this role you will need to have: Level 3 or equivalent qualification in at least one complementary therapy; qualification or experience in palliative care or end-of-life care.
