Complementary Therapist

We are currently seeking warm and friendly individuals to join our team as a Complementary Therapist at Weston Hospicecare. As a Complementary Therapist, you will provide supportive therapies to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Why we want you

To volunteer individually and as part of the complementary therapy team. To practice the agreed therapy in accordance with the policies of Weston Hospicecare.

What you will be doing

• Providing complementary therapy to clients with a life-limited illness suitable for individual needs
• Supporting the clinical staff in providing a high standard of holistic care
• Ensuring clinical staff and/or complementary therapy manager is aware of any client concerns
• Liaising with key workers and complementary therapy manager
• Working in accordance with relevant governing and professional bodies
• Assessing clients for treatment and completing relevant records
• Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times regarding patients, their relatives, and staff
• Maintaining order and tidiness within the Hospice

Disclaimer

For this role you will need to have: Level 3 or equivalent qualification in at least one complementary therapy; qualification or experience in palliative care or end-of-life care. An enhanced with barring DBS check will also be required for this role.
