A little bit about the role... Are you passionate about delivering great customer service? We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at our Stansted Innovations Centre. In this role, you will be the face of our food and beverage service, assisting with both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house duties. From prepping delicious food to ensuring our customers have a fantastic experience, your energy and dedication will keep our catering facilities vibrant and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Food & Beverage Service: Taking orders, operating the till and providing efficient, friendly customer service across all catering areas.
  • Kitchen Support: Assisting with food production and ensuring the seamless provision of beverage services.
  • Standards & Presentation: Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and ensuring all food and beverage products are displayed.
  • Hygiene & Safety: Keeping all catering areas clean and tidy, with a full awareness of food safety regulations and legislative procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely with your colleagues to tackle daily tasks, communicating effectively with clients and customers and supporting the wider team wherever needed.
  • Adaptability: Handling ad‑hoc duties within the department.

Qualifications

  • A proactive individual with a strong work ethic and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills to balance duties throughout the day.
  • A friendly, collaborative attitude with a willingness to support the wider catering team.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment is preferred.
