Due to growth within British Offsite, we’re recruiting for an HGV Driver. You will be responsible for the effective and timely collections and deliveries of Uni products, building and fit-out materials, and plant equipment to customers’ sites and distribution centers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Complying and driving company commercial vehicles in accordance with relevant laws including tachograph rules, driver hours limits, working time regulations, road traffic laws etc.
- Ensuring the safe, timely and secure loading and unloading of materials and equipment to correct procedures.
- Quality checking equipment supplied to customers are in good condition prior to loading and at the time of unloading.
- Working in a safe and efficient manner complying with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- You will complete related paperwork accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the vehicles using on-site equipment, both inside and out.
- Assist in the accurate picking and secure packaging of products for dispatch when required.
- Effectively working as part of a team and to motivate team members.
- Attending relevant training sessions and personal development courses as and when required.

As a successful candidate, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- A valid clean Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence to Category C+E licence.
- Valid digital tachograph driver smart card
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence Qualification (Driver CPC).
- A minimum of 1 year experience driving a Category C+E license
- Ability to plan and organise workload effectively working to deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written.
- Competent and confident use of relevant software: including email, electronic vehicle checking apps, clock in/out software etc.
