A little bit about the role... At Weston Homes, we are transforming how we manage critical project information. We are seeking a proactive Document Controller / Information Manager to lead the implementation of our "Golden Thread" process, ensuring full compliance with new building safety legislation and ISO 19650 standards. In this pivotal role, you will champion our central document management system, driving excellence in information flow across all Design and Construction phases for Weston Homes projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • System & Workflow Leadership: Implement, develop, and maintain our document control systems. Serve as the subject matter expert across people, processes, and technology.
  • Golden Thread & ISO 19650 Compliance: Establish robust document protocols, audit compliance against Information Management (IM) standards, and archive historical records securely.
  • Quality Assurance: Gatekeep all incoming drawings, specifications, and contract documents against file naming conventions—providing constructive guidance to originators when updates are needed.
  • Information Distribution: Efficiently process, log, and issue incoming/outgoing documentation, including monitoring design technical queries (TQ) and circulating weekly status reports.
  • Technical Collaboration: Liaise with system suppliers and internal IT teams to deliver project-specific software requirements on time.
  • Single Point of Contact: Act as the lead advisor for all drawing and document control queries across project teams.
  • Team Support: Handle day-to-day administrative tasks for client systems and offer cross-cover support for the wider admin team when required.
