This is a part-time role, working 25.9 hours per week, although we would be open to job share opportunities within this role.

We would particularly welcome applications from people currently working within the industry or with relevant industry experience.

If you aren't sure if you have the right qualifications, or haven't taught before, we can help you train and develop whilst you build practical experience in the classroom.

Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties of the role include, but are not limited to

  • Deliver specialist training across all disciplines, supporting the development of strength, flexibility, alignment, and technical precision;
  • Plan and assess student performance work, including research and context, repertoire, and showcases, ensuring progression in technical and artistic ability;
  • Promote safe dance practice, including injury prevention, conditioning, and appropriate progression in acrobatic skills;
  • Support students in developing performance quality, discipline, and professional standards;
  • Contribute to the organisation and rehearsal of performances, ensuring choreography and delivery reflect current professional practice.

To be successful in this role, you will need to

  • Have a degree or professional qualification in a relevant subject.
  • Have relevant professional or commercial experience.
  • Either hold or be willing to gain a teaching qualification.
