Overview

As one of the fastest-growing Colleges in the UK, Weston College is an inspiring place to work. We are currently seeking an established Quality Assurance professional to join us in shaping the future of Electrical Installation Training as a Lead IQA - Electrical. This is a part-time role, working 15 hours per week. A temporary Recruitment and Retention Premia of £2027 per annum is attached to this post, which is a separate payment in addition to the normal salary. A review of market conditions will be carried out 6 months prior to the proposed end date (two years from the date of commencement) to establish if the Recruitment and Retention Premia should continue. Further information on Recruitment and Retention Premia payments is available on request. Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating all Internal Verification activities for Level 3 Electrical Installation.
  • Overseeing and implementing IQA plans and sampling within Smart Assessor.
  • Leading consistent standardisation processes across Electrical Installation Apprenticeships.
  • Managing EQA/awarding body visits, liaising with colleagues where required and tracking any action plans.

Qualifications and experience

  • Enthusiastic, detail-driven professional with a passion for high-quality teaching, learning and assessment, with Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications and a strong understanding of EQA/IQA processes.
  • A relevant degree-level qualification.
  • Successful teaching experience and up-to-date knowledge of Electrical Installation.
  • The ability to analyse complex information, manage deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
