Weston College and University Centre Weston have announced plans for an exciting new Skills Academy in the Aerospace & Defence space, located at Airbus Filton, Bristol. We are looking for a visionary leader to join our team as the Vice Principal – Aerospace Skills Academy. If you have extensive experience in large-scale engineering environments, a thorough understanding of FE and HE curriculum requirements and want to be in a role where you can drive growth through innovative programme development and strong industry partnerships, then this role might be the one for you.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development of this new campus from inception to full operational status.
- Ensure that the Aerospace Academy becomes a centre of excellence for aerospace and advanced engineering skills.
Qualifications:
- Leader with experience in both education and the aerospace or defence sector.
- Clear commitment to becoming an 'extraordinary college' through the ability to develop quality strategies, employer engagement strategies and commercial opportunities.
- Strong communication, persuasion, influencing and leadership skills.
- Detailed working knowledge of Ofsted, OFS methodologies, internal and external verification and FE & HE curriculum programmes, including apprenticeships.
