As one of the fastest-growing Colleges in the UK, Weston College is excited to be opening the brand-new Aerospace Skills Academy, which will welcome its first learners in September 2026. The Academy will be a cutting-edge training hub, designed to power the next generation of aerospace and advanced engineering professionals. We are now seeking an inspiring Operations Manager – Apprenticeships - Teaching, Learning and Assessment (TLA) to play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional quality across our FE and HE apprenticeship provision at this new campus. This role will be based at the Aerospace Skills Academy in Filton.

About the role In this role, you will:
- Lead the operational delivery, quality and consistency of teaching, learning and assessment across FE and HE apprenticeship programmes delivered at the Aerospace Skills Academy.
- Ensure teaching practice is high-quality, industry-informed and aligned with apprenticeship standards, assessment plans and employer expectations.
- Line manage, coach and develop lecturers, promoting an ambitious, inclusive and professional culture focused on learner progress and achievement.
- Oversee quality processes such as lesson observation, standardisation, moderation and learner work sampling.
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week. Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.
About you We are looking for someone who will bring:
- A strong understanding of quality assurance, teaching, learning and assessment strategies.
- Experience working collaboratively with employers / industry partners.
- Broad knowledge and experience of apprenticeship delivery, including regulatory requirements, funding and end point assessment.
- Effective leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and challenge underperformance.
- A Teaching Qualification at Level 4 or above.
