This is a part-time role, working 25.9 hours per week. Interviews for this role will take place on-site, at one of our college campuses in Weston-super-Mare.

Day to day duties of the role:

  • Providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of subjects, including filmmaking, video editing, camera operating, journalism, audience theory, pre‑production processes, creative writing and the development of Maths and English.
  • Tutoring a group of students, showing sensitivity to their needs, and supporting personal development, behaviour, and welfare to the highest possible standards.
  • Assisting and working with students towards successful completion of Work Experience and Industry Placement.
  • Having an interest in new and emerging techniques and technology for Film and Media production.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Degree‑level or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work.
  • Working knowledge of Media Production practical techniques and theoretical knowledge.
  • Knowledge and practical skills in Video Editing on FCP X or Adobe Premier.
  • Computer literacy on dual platform PC and MAC.
