We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Vet to take on the role of Branch Manager at our newly opened, purpose-built practice at West Mount Vets in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. This part-time, permanent position offers a competitive salary of up to £75,000 FTE (depending on experience) along with a range of benefits. The role is approximately 30 hours per week, with some weekend and out-of-hours work required, although we can offer flexibility.
If you're passionate about veterinary care and leadership, we would love to hear from you. The vast, light, and airy practice is truly a lovely place to work in: there are five consulting rooms (one dedicated to euthanasia only), two operating theatres, a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray, a digital x-ray room, and ultrasound.
The majority of our 15 vets and nurses are a long-standing part of the "West Mount Family" because we are genuinely a lovely, friendly, and supportive team to work with who love a bit of banter and a good laugh too! Our progressive, multi-disciplinary team is passionate about their jobs and is dedicated to working at a high clinical standard. We are always looking at ways to improve and advance our service. Free CPD and courses are plentiful to allow you to grow both clinically and to improve patient and client care.
We have several certificate holders and other vets currently working towards certificates so there are always other vets to discuss cases with and we actively encourage further learning and training. We have a large longstanding client base who have close relationships with the practice and treat us to a continuous supply of cake and chocolate!
We run our own bespoke OOH service from our RCVS-accredited Tier 3 Hospital in Halifax providing outstanding 24-hour care and case continuity for pets and clients. We also have two thriving, purpose-built branch practices in Mytholmroyd and West Vale equipped with digital x-ray and ultrasound.
We understand how important work-life balance is and can be flexible when considering the best rota for you. We are a super social practice and love to get together outside of work to relax and have fun! Group dog walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside or heading out to Leeds or Manchester for nights out or charity events, we always have a ball!
