# CookPosted on 21/01/2026* Cook* ## About The Role* Here at the Westmorland Family we make all our food ourselves from fresh local ingredients including beef and lamb from our own farm at Tebay and carefully selected local suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients. Our main dishes are produced in our own Westmorland Kitchen but our on site Cooks play a key role in putting the finishing touches to our hearty dishes, delivering a smooth kitchen service and keeping our standards high for our travelling customers. Following our specifications you will ensure that the food is cooked and presented appropriately in accordance with demand and ensuring only the highest quality products are offered to our customers. Responsible for the smooth running of the kitchen, you will also need to maintain a clean, tidy and safe kitchen with the highest levels of food safety to maintain our 5 star rating including completing all necessary paperwork.* ## About You* We\βre looking for people who can work in a fast paced, high volume kitchen environment and aintain speed of output and quality at all times. Ideally you will have previous experience in a similar role but we would be happy to consider applications for those looking to progress their career in catering.* At Westmorland we are family business that started in 1972 from our farm in Cumbria, which runs unique motorway service areas β Tebay, Gloucester and Cairn Lodge β based on no franchises but instead our own Farmshops and Kitchens. We also have Junction 38, a services dedicated to HGV drivers, Rheged, a meeting place, Cafe, Gallery and Cinema, and the Westmorland Hotel situated on the edge of the Lake District.
