About the Role

Join Westmorland Homecare Lancaster as we expand our Training and Development team and help shape the future of high-quality homecare in our community. You’ll work alongside one of our experienced Trainers to support, inspire and develop our fantastic team of Homecare Assistants. This is a hands-on role where your work directly improves the quality of care and empowers others to reach their full potential. Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging induction and clinical training (Care Certificate, Medication, Moving & Handling)
  • Mentoring and supporting new starters through their onboarding period
  • Creating and delivering ongoing continuing professional development programmes
  • Auditing medication processes and maintaining accurate training records
  • Promoting NVQ/QCF opportunities and professional development across the team
  • Conducting appraisals and risk assessments
  • Play a part in our shared on-call rota, which is rotated fairly across the team and scheduled to support a healthy work–life balance.

Qualifications

A full UK driving licence is essential. Experience as a District Nurse, NHS Practitioner or Care Trainer is desirable but not essential.
