Senior Teaching Assistant – Permanent – 32.5 Hours per week
PCD 7 Β£29,542 (A) (pro rata) (Β£15.31 per hour)

Required from November 2026

We are looking for a Senior Teaching Assistant, qualified to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. The role will be to work with a child in a year 2 class. The person should have experience in working with children with ADHD and SEMH needs.

The hours of work will be everyday 8.30am-3.30pm. term time

Applicants must be enthusiastic and passionate about working with our children and be able to bring unique skills, talents and experiences to our school.

We are looking for a person who is:

  • Caring and nurturing
  • Resourceful, motivated and enthusiastic
  • Has lots of experience working with children with additional needs including ADHD and SEMH.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual learning programmes (IEPs) and Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Contribute to regular assessment and review processes by providing observations and feedback.
  • Have high expectations
  • Have a willingness to work flexibly as a hard-working member of a committed team
  • Be able to adapt learning tasks to meet the needs of the learners
  • Have an approachable, calm and professional manner
  • Support pupils during unstructured times (e.g. break/lunch) and in transitions between activities.
  • Be able to communicate with parents and professionals.
  • Opportunity to work across the School Federation (Hindpool Nursery, Dane Ghyll School).

And has:

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Has a good understanding of, and a commitment to the safeguarding of all children.
