About the Role

Do you have an interest in science? Are you keen to play a role in the education of the scientists of the future?

We are seeking a Science Technician to join our dynamic school team and play a supportive role in delivering an exceptional, safe and engaging science curriculum.

In this varied role, you will use your technical expertise to prepare and maintain specialist equipment and chemicals. Beyond the prep room, you will actively support the classroom experience by assisting staff with practical lessons and exams, and supporting pupils through technical hands-on learning activities.

The position is being offered on a full time or part time basis.

About You

  • support the work of teaching staff and students
  • liaise with teaching staff over equipment requirements
  • check stock and order resources
  • prepare and maintain science equipment, chemicals and other resources
  • follow health and safety procedures

An interest in science is important but organisational skills and ‘can do’ attitude are key to this role; relevant experience is desirable but not essential as appropriate training will be provided.
