Are you passionate about making a difference for children, young people, and families? Westmorland and Furness Council is looking for a Targeted Family Help Worker to join our dedicated Family Help service within Children’s Services.

This exciting and varied role of Targeted Family Help Worker is ideal for anyone with experience of Early Help, building family resilience and making a positive impact on the lives of children, young people and their families. This role sits in the Targeted Family Help team within our Family Help Service and works closely alongside Children’s Services.

As a Targeted Family Help Worker, you will provide high-quality support and early interventions to vulnerable children, young people, and families. Your work will help prevent escalation of need and reduce demand on statutory services. You’ll work closely with families and professionals to create outcome-focused plans, empower families to access services, and ensure children’s voices are heard.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting children, young people and their families to make positive change. You will need to have a knowledge and background of working with children and families and be able to work independently and as a part of a team. You will need to be able to travel around the Westmorland and Furness footprint.
