Surveyor - Housing Landlord WMF3155i

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Surveyor to join our Housing Service and play a key role in maintaining and improving our housing stock. About the Role

Working alongside the Housing Maintenance Manager, you will lead our surveying team, oversee investment and maintenance projects, and help ensure our homes remain safe, compliant, and of a high standard for our residents. You'll have the opportunity to influence asset management strategies, deliver improvement programmes, and drive excellent customer service across our landlord services In this role, you will:

• Lead and manage the Housing Surveying Team.




• Oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and investment programmes.




• Undertake and manage building surveys, specifications, and contractor performance.




• Ensure compliance with health and safety, regulatory standards and other key building safety legislation, and landlord responsibilities.




• Manage construction budgets, procurement processes, and project delivery.




• Support the development of asset management strategies to protect and improve our housing stock.




• Work closely with residents, contractors, and colleagues to deliver high-quality housing services.

We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused professional with experience in surveying, construction, or asset management. You will have strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team while managing multiple priorities.

Qualifications

You will ideally have:

• An HNC/HND in Building Studies or a related discipline, or be working towards one.




• Experience managing construction or building-related projects.




• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within the built environment.




• Experience managing contractors, project costs, and budgets.




• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and leadership skills.




• A commitment to delivering safe, high-quality homes and excellent services for residents.




• Be non-judgemental and approachable with a customer-focused approach to demonstrate understanding and empathy in delivering a customer-focused service
