Location: Westmorland and Furness Council offices in Barrow, Kendal or Penrith. There is the facility to work at the Council’s Office at Parkhouse, Carlisle but this is a work base only and not a contractual location. Remote working subject to attending meetings as required.

Who we are looking for…
Pensions Manager – Governance & Compliance- Develop, implement and maintain our compliance environment including policies, procedures, and meeting the requirements of The Pension Regulator
- Provide training and guidance, including to elected councillors
- Be the technical expert on governance matters
- Stay updated on industry‑specific regulations and best practice
The individual will have:
- Good communications and written skills
- A background in compliance and governance, preferably related to the Local Government Pensions Scheme
- An ability to develop and nurture relationships
