The Specialist Domestic Abuse team began as a 12-month pilot team in August 2023. The team is now a permanent team within Children’s Social Care Directorate. For us to continue developing best practice we are growing the team. We have 2 new vacancies for Specialist Domestic Abuse Worker to be based within the Domestic Abuse Team. This is a countywide team. We are looking for a motivated, hard-working, and dedicated person to join our team.
Who we are looking for…
- To provide a range of interventions and support to children and young people who are at risk of or exposed to domestic abuse.
- The workers will work as part of a specialised team.
- To work closely with the child’s care team to ensure all professionals working with the child understand domestic abuse and lead on the planning of interventions to support the child to reduce risk and stay safe.
- To support the specialist domestic abuse team's other functions if required.
- Holding the IDVA qualification is desirable.
