About this opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity for you to join Westmorland and Furness Council as a Regulatory Services Assistant within our Public Protection Service. Currently, you will be focusing on supporting the work of the Private Water Supplies officers in the Environmental Protection Team. In this role, you will help us to keep our communities safe through supporting the public protection service, assisting officers on appropriate inspections of local businesses, activities and residential premises, and providing technical and administrative support for the service. Youโll be joining a dedicated and experienced team where you will be managing your own caseload. Working in Public Protection at Westmorland and Furness Council is both varied and challenging; no two days are the same.

Who we are looking for:
- We are looking for candidates who have a good level of general education including 5 GCSEs (including English Language and Mathematics) or equivalent.
- You should have some experience of working in a customer-focused, service delivery role and good admin skills.
- In addition, candidates should possess the ability to be accurate, detailed and professional in their approach to work.
- A proven ability to deliver high standards and good customer service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong ICT skills with proven ability to learn new systems quickly.

As part of this role, there is a requirement to travel and so the postholder must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle to use for work / able to independently travel around the Westmorland and Furness area.
